The Spanish Supreme Court rejected the request for the release of former vice-president Catalan Oriol Junqueras.
The High Court's Appeals Chamber confirmed the decision of the investigating judge to retain the former vice-president of the Generalitat in provisional detention. The three magistrates unanimously maintain that there are indications that he has committed crimes of rebellion, sedition and embezzlement and that there is a significant risk of criminal reiteration.
