Would I take my son out of school for a month's vacation?
The holidays are usually very fun and if you travel more you will still enjoy them, but my son or daughter loses a month of class; I do not think it appropriate, unless the parents bring a teacher to keep their child level during this time; However, it would not be so fun anymore.
In my opinion as a mother, it would not matter at what time, we could enjoy a well-deserved family vacation, they are the moments in which we can share, enjoy and converse. Being in the family is the best thing, it is dedicating quality time to our children and reminding them that we are here for what they need.
As a teacher it is not convenient, I will argue through my experience, in Venezuela the school period runs from September to July of the following year and two vacation periods are managed: from December to January and from July to September; when the children return from these periods, they come in zero, they cry inconsolably, they have a hard time eating, sleeping and they just want to have them loaded or demand exclusive attention; As it is very easy to adapt to the school routine, it is also very easy to lose it.
The teacher must make a special plan of adaptation and resume plans and projects. The adaptation that corresponds to the month of January is usually faster or shorter, the September is usually longer considering that this corresponds to the beginning of the school year.
I ask: what is best for a child, miss a month of classes, enjoy and share with your family; even if I get lost to classes?
It is a question that both parents and teachers would answer contaria😊😕, the point of balance would be to respect the holiday periods established by the Ministry of Education, and both parties reconciled what is best for the child.
¡happy afternoon¡
