For some it is a book with errors, for others it is very repetitive. But for those of us who believe in God, we know that it is a book that contains the history of the redemption of man.
Other non-recommended books on the QG list include "The Old Man and The Sea" by Ernest Hemingway, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain, "The Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien and "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift.
Those who ignore those who included the Bible in the Qg list (revistagq.com), is that the Bible was written by Jews, a Jewish people, in a Jewish context, framed in the history, economy, politics and society of a people . And if some things are repetitive, it is because God knows that the human being is forgetful. For example, the apostle Paul wrote to the believers of Philip:
"It is not for me to write the same things to you, and it is safe for you" (Phil 3: 1)
The apostle Peter also wrote in his second letter:
"Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, although you already know them and have been confirmed in the truth that is present in you.”
2 Peter 1:12
