Cuando tocamos melodías fluidas y a la vez expresiva, hay una técnica para lograr esto con claridad, energía y carácter: el staccato es una técnica de interpretación que consiste en tocar notas cortas y marcadas, lo contrario al legado.
Existen dos tipos de stacatto:
En el arco: se hace deteniendo el arco, separando cada nota de manera controlada y es ideal para obtener una articulación precisa, clara y definida.
Staccato volado: está técnica es más compleja y avanzada, en la que el arco rebota naturalmente sobre la cuerda en un punto exacto ya sean movimientos ascendentes o descendentes.
El secreto de esta técnica está en el control de la presión y la velocidad de los movimientos, ya que se aplicamos mucha fuerza los movimientos se vuelven rígidos y así se dificulta la definición y coordinación del movimiento.

Volado staccato: This is a more complex and advanced technique, in which the bow bounces naturally off the string at a precise point, whether in upward or downward movements.
The secret to this technique lies in controlling the pressure and speed of the movements. Applying too much force makes the movements rigid, making it difficult to define and coordinate the movement.
