Hoy llegamos al final de esta serie de análisis sobre las películas del estudio Ghibli, nos encontramos con el film titulado: "El recuerdo de Marnie" el cual marca el fin de las películas realizadas por esta casa de animación, espero sea de su agrado y a comenzar.
Sin llegar a ese nivel de excelencia como el de sus últimas creaciones, el Studio Ghibli parece decirnos “hasta luego” con una historia que atraviesa por la desconexión del tiempo en las relaciones y de emociones descontroladas por Hiromasa Yonebayashi, heredero de la genialidad creada por Hayao Miyazaki y del íntimo amigo Isao Takahata, pero sin ser capaz de dejar una marca de su inigualable personalidad en este lienzo. Una situación que no hace a "El recuerdo de Marnie" tener infinitas probabilidades de llenarnos de emoción, al igual que llega a ser una de las más imperfectas creaciones del estudio.
La adaptación animada de la novela "When Marnie Was There", escrita por Joan G. Robinson, realizada por Niwa Keiko y Ando Masahi nos muestra la historia de Anna, una chica no muy social y que cuenta con bastante depresión encima de ella, que encontrará en Marnie la amiga que nunca pudo encontrar. Entre estas dos jóvenes existe un pantano, que se postra como un elemento de increíble belleza, pero también en un objeto narrativo que funciona como una metáfora llena de brillantez del vaivén de una amistad donde se une en el pasado y el presente, tanto en la realidad y en la imaginación.
Si dejamos a un lado distracciones en forma de tramas alternas y al poco desarrollo de los personajes que rodean a estas dos protagonistas, llegamos a comprender que Anna y Marnie son el verdadero objetivo, la imagen principal de una historia donde todo está puesto en la mesa para juntar a niños y adultos ante dos personajes jóvenes femeninos que de manera sencilla son arrebatadores. De nuevo, otra historia que está creada desde lo más pequeño, pero que mientras va avanzando tiende a crecer más y más. Una desilusión leve es la confusión inicial en la que nos sitúa como pretensión, ciertas escenas innecesarias no son del todo bien introducidas y la sobre explicación de las emociones finales.
De forma análoga se pueden mencionar algunas composiciones musicales que se parecen repetir junto a esquemas y estilos; "El recuerdo de Marnie" es una muestra más de la conjugación del fino y elegante trabajo técnico del estudio así como la utilización de una banda sonora por parte de Takatsugu Muramatsu algo completamente inusual, pero tratando un tema que se logra esquivar tanto como la depresión en la adolescencia y todo lo que esto quiere implicar; y por si fuera poco, destinándolo a niños así como a personas de edad adulta, sin duda, una interesante cuestión que puede servir para explicar la reflexión sobre todas aquellas ramas en las que se puedo haber desviado este film.
Sin duda alguna es una película de Ghibli, sin embargo, no se siente la obra maestra que todos esperábamos al momento de despedirnos de este estudio, es muy recomendable de ver debido a la identificación que se puede tener con los personajes y a los temas que se abordan.

Without reaching that level of excellence like that of his latest creations, the Studio Ghibli seems to say "see you later" with a story that goes through the disconnection of time in relationships and uncontrolled emotions by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, heir of the genius created by Hayao Miyazaki and the intimate friend Isao Takahata, but without being able to leave a mark of his matchless personality on this canvas. A situation that does not make "When Marnie Was There" have infinite probabilities of filling us with emotion, as it becomes one of the most imperfect creations of the studio.
The animated adaptation of the novel "When Marnie Was There", written by Joan G. Robinson, made by Niwa Keiko and Ando Masahi shows us the story of Anna, a girl who is not very social and who has a lot of depression on top of her, you will find in Marnie the friend you could never find. Between these two young people there is a swamp, which prostrates as an element of incredible beauty, but also in a narrative object that functions as a metaphor full of brilliance of the swing of a friendship where it unites in the past and the present, both in the reality and in the imagination.
If we leave aside distractions in the form of alternate frames and the little development of the characters that surround these two protagonists, we come to understand that Anna and Marnie are the true objective, the main image of a story where everything is set on the table to bring together children and adults before two young female characters that are simply sweeping. Again, another story that is created from the smallest, but that as it moves forward tends to grow more and more. A slight disappointment is the initial confusion in which it places us as pretension, certain unnecessary scenes are not well introduced and the explanation of the final emotions.
In an analogous way, we can mention some musical compositions that seem to repeat along with schemes and styles; "When Marnie Was There" is another example of the conjugation of the fine and elegant technical work of the studio as well as the use of a soundtrack by Takatsugu Muramatsu, something completely unusual, but dealing with a subject that is avoided as much as depression in adolescence and everything that this implies; and if that were not enough, targeting children as well as adults, without a doubt, an interesting question that can serve to explain the reflection on all those branches in which this film may have been diverted.
Without a doubt it is a Ghibli movie, however, it does not feel like the masterpiece that we all expected when we said goodbye to this studio, it is highly recommended to see due to the identification that can be had with the characters and the themes that are tackle
