Had a couple of old Finnish people in the past few weeks who are part of the Vacation Club, which means they have a time-share in the hotel so they also have special prices to a variety of trips, restaurants and many other things, including spa treatments.
Every Tuesday there's a Vacation Club meeting where they present those special offers and I go there to represent the spa. Since I don't speak or understand the language, the representatives normally speak for me. To catch more attention, we always offer the clients an extra 20min head and shoulders massage if they make am appointment on that day!
The lady decided to book a treatment for her and for her husband so they can both have the free massage to use it later on. All went very well and both got out very pleased with my treatments!
Later they booked the free massages. Unfortunately the lady fell somewhere during her walkings and hit the back of her head and she wasn't feel good and yet she went to the spa to reschedule her treatment some days later and only give the free massage to her husband in the meantime. As part of my personality I get always worried and anytime I saw her or even her husband I always asked how she was feeling and give her some advice to make her feel better.
On the day of her treatment she didn't appear. Tried to call to her room and no one answered. My first thought was that she had to go to the hospital.
On the next day had a fully booked agenda but my receptionist saw her and turned out that she lost track of time as she went to the city centre. I felt relieved. Unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to give her the free massage. But she left me something:
The couple kindly left me a bottle of wine and the lady wrote me a note:
Never saw the lady again but saw her husband and he said she wasn't good yet but not to be worried because it takes time. He thank me and hoped to see me again next year.
I hope so too!
Happy Friday!
