Hi Everyone,
I do exceedingly agree that the military goes above and beyond in helping where it is needed. I, if called, would go fight for my Country at the drop of a hat. Please, please don't think otherwise.
I hold people that have been in the Military in the highest regard. Never think I do not.
This.....recording that came about......is one more of wishful thinking.......that someday we could all live in Peace together.......Do I really think it's possible? I can not answer that because it breaks my heart to type the answer that I have.
I DO THANK everyone for any kind of service they have given. MUCH GOOD is done by them too and for that, I AM very Thankful!
This is my Day 141: 5 Minute Freewrite, Prompt: the military
This Speak(free)write was made in five minutes by speaking into a microphone, recorded, and set to music. I then went back and wrote out the words spoken to the best of my ability.
The Land
The word today was military.
I even checked to see if there were any other meanings because mostly in the English language there are other meanings to words.
Commonplace words to try to take this in a different direction than the obvious meaning of the word military.
Unfortunately, there is only one meaning, one meaning of the word military.
That sounds so sad that one word has no other meaning.
That one-word compasses so much.
That the only meaning behind it it's armed dangerous, taught to kill, if needed, taught to keep the peace, by force, if needed.
What happened..............
You can ask the question of what happened but looking back at history there was always military forces of some kind in this world.
Can you imagine all that land, all that freedom, and yet, even then, way back when, wars were still fought for land?
For rights to use the land.
To rape the land for what it had.
The people for what they could do for you and not what you could do for them.
If you think about it, really think, it's a sad kind of word that has one meaning for the world, for the world and the word called military.
That from the beginning of time there's been some kind of military to enforce the rules so we now, as people, are just building on that.
Building, building, larger and larger.
Instead of sticks and stones and poison from knowing plants, we make up plants to kill. We make up bombs that drop like rocks to disintegrate whole Citys.
How do you escape the beginning of time? That wars were always fought over pieces of land and what the land could give us.
When really, the land, if treated right, will give us everything, to everyone, for free.
When will we, as people, unlearn the simple fact that war is not the answer.
I hate to say, I don't think I will ever see it in my lifetime.
