Hey everyone, I have been staying on this plot for 5 years now and never have I seen these, up until lately they seem to appear everywhere, but what is going on??
Interesting article here as per wikipedia.org
Nephila is a genus of araneomorph spiders noted for the impressive webs they weave. Nephila consists of numerous species found in warmer regions around the world. They are commonly called golden silk orb-weavers, golden orb-weavers, giant wood spiders, or banana spiders.

We have had an incredibly rainy season, possibly that has something to do with it? Jesse and myself took a walk to go and see his bees, this old bird-cage fascinated him and in his usual enquiring form just had to have a walk inside, only to get "stuck" in this beauties silky trap.
So what are these commonly known as? Golden Orb, Banana spider, or giant wood spiders.
I proceeded to take a few more snaps, my precious 2 year old warned me, "Don't touch Daddy" which naturally I adhered to, bless him, and off we went.
Nature the incredible.
I trust you have a wonderful Weekend.
Love, light and blessings.
Cheer$;)
