When it is night and everyone is asleep, you become a different person. You would think that when you are alone, you would talk to yourself but actually you do not even recognize yourself. It is as if there is a blank, emotionless, nonjudgmental being and you find something to keep that being busy with, whether it is news or event or a thought or an action from past, present or future.
so who is that person. Is that real you or is that person the same for everyone? Perhaps we need to avoid our distractions and learn more about that person/being. Religion tells me that it is my spirit which is the essence of God. If it is the spirit and it is same for everyone, then it signifies the unity of God.
We have the same being/person/spirit in other creatures besides human. What about the material/physical things then? Do they have spirit as well? How do they signifies unity of God? They are not eternal and not pure. Their pure form do have spirit? Question is what is their pure form?
Who is devil? or should the question be what makes a devil.
A devil is someone who believes in God but denies the orders. Why would you deny orders when you know all power belongs to God? Ego? is that the best answer we have? Lack of knowledge? The argument was that he was proud and superior because he was made of fire and Adam was made of Clay and must have thought that hell fire is not going to affect him since he is made of fire as well.
Lack of knowledge can end you up in hell but humbleness and Aajazi has made prophet Musa.
Our distinction is knowledge to an extent but it is the humility that is going to make us successful not knowledge alone because does not matter how much knowledge we get, it can never be complete.
The servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say words of peace. (Surah Al-Furqan 25:63)
"And seek aid in steadfast patience and prayer: and this, indeed, is a hard thing for all but the HUMBLE in spirit" (2:45)
“And how can you have patience about a thing which you know not?” (Surah Al-Kahf 18:68),
Patience comes with knowledge.
