Suffering is not a state of life. It is a state of mind. It is not an event in your life. It is your response to an event. In a particular situation, whether you suffer or not depends entirely on your reaction to that situation.

I found out today on average we have 2 months of "bad days" out of the year! 2 whole months!!
That number needs to be smaller!
So many times we immediately grab hold of the first emotion that arises in a given situation that we ignore the fact that there are perhaps other ways of looking at a situation, even when it causes us distress. Those emotions are then carried around with us creating thoughts and beliefs to match that then drive action in a direction that we don't want to be going in anyway.
Emotions come and emotions go with the experiences. They are like code being executed by our ego based on the inputs it is receiving. However, it is not the external experiences that are the input...its our reactions. So how can we react more favorably in all situations?
The secret to always getting what you want? Want EVERYTHING!! Want life's next moment so ferosciously that you are eagar for any possible thing that could happen, even death... accept that next moment graciously for the miracle that it is...then do it over again. :)
