Zelkova tree in my apartment, 08/21/2021
Plants are living things. However, it is said that they are not sentient beeing but places where fairy dwells. Therefore, it provides with a logical reason as foods for vegetarians who refuse to kill sentient being. However, it should not be taken for granted that the house should be removed because it is not sentient being. If you respect life and acknowledge that elves are also life, you shouldn't damage their houses recklessly as respect for sentient being. Thus, ecological agriculture resists reckless cultivation for large-scale production.
There is an old zelkova tree in the apartment where I live. It is probably a tree that is hundreds of years old. This tree may have been the center and guardian role of the former village. Fortunately, it would have been protected when the old village was cleared and new apartments were under construction. Now it becomes the guardian of this apartment.
I want to consider them to be same family because the leaves of zelkova and elm are similar in shape. Elm tree once known as "elven" due to its popularity among elves, elm is now used to protect against lightning strikes, as well as to attract love when carried.
