As we enter the holiday season we must remember to enjoy the journey as much as the eventual destination." Most of us would agree with this but it is easy to lose sight of it.
If we make the most of each moment we will feel more fulfilled than if we rush anxiously from one task to another. Personal satisfaction does not come from our eventual goals but from how we treat each minute, hour and day of our lives.
Remember that many of our best times have been spontaneous situations and not planned events. If we take pleasure from the small things of each day and are grateful for what we have, this will increase our feelings of fulfilment and our interaction with others will benefit.
So start this run up to the holiday with a realistic plan and enjoy the moments of preparation, time with loved ones and socialising. We should value these opportunities. Oh, and spare a thought for those who are less likely to be surrounded by security, peace and loving friends and family.
I wish you a blessed holiday with many lovely moments.
