Recently Developed and Released a New Tool
This Auto-Rental Tool is VERY powerful but it is a little tricky. I will first walk you through HOW to use it, then I will outline the part that seems to be tripping everyone up.
First: What it is and How to use it
The Auto-Rental Tool acts as a "Standing Offer" from you for a particular card (or cards). You put in how much you'd like to pay for a card rental and if any cards are listed or come onto the market at that price (or less)- PeakMonsters rents it, for you. Then, no matter how much you offered- you pay what the card was listed at.
The first step, is to click on the new "BID" button located on every listing on PeakMonsters:
Once you click that button, for the first time, a window will pop-up. This window will request permissions for to rent cards for you, have to allow that or they can't rent any cards for you.
Once you get past that (you won't ever have to do it again) another window pops up:
On here you just fill in how much you'd be willing to pay to rent the card (in this case a Prince Julian) then select the Level you want (4) and whether you are looking for Regular or Gold Foil (Regular). Once you have filled in and selected those criteria- simply click on 'confirm' in the bottom right corner and- your done! Just sit back and wait for the algorithms to find your card for you and it will show up in your collection when/if they ever do!
Pretty easy, right?
Well.... Yes and No- There's 2 things that make this a little harder (and one that makes it easier) and in order for this to work for you- you need to keep those in mind:
First thing: NONE of those bids on Prince Julian will EVER get a Prince Julian, not even if a 20 DEC/day L4 Prince Julian hits the market.
Why? you ask? Well that's because the bids you SEE are not the only bids on this card. There is a different kind of bid in the Auto-Rental System called a "CP BID" where people put bids out for ANY card that gives them CP and those bids are running about 100 CP/DEC and that top bid? That's at a rate of about 350 CP/DEC- so if that L4 Prince Julian ever hits the market? some account that put out a bid for CP... will end up with *THAT card in their collection.
SO- you HAVE to make sure that your bid for a card is BOTH the highest bid AND for LESS THAN 100 CP/DEC, then you just have to hope that the 20 DEC/day Prince Julian comes onto the Market, before a 300 DEC/Day one does.
The Second 'Tricky' Part:
For some cards, there's no less than four (4) distinct versions of them: Alpha and Beta with both Regular and Gold Foil. If you want a shot at all of them, you have to bid on all of them! (Just remember to cancel any bids you don't win! or you might end up with 4 of them!)
(In order to place bids on Alpha cards- Select Alpha in the editions area on the right of the PeakMonsters screen)
As you can see here- there ARE no bids out for a L4, Alpha, LoD (and that I'm about to place one for 50 DEC/day)
Well, What Makes it Easier?
According to over at PeakMonsters, if you want a level 6+ card and you put in a bid for the L6 version? It doesn't matter if a L7 or L8 comes in at a low price- if you have the highest bid for those levels, you get the rental not the (lower) bids for cards of that, particular, level.
Another Thing I Like About the System?
All you're active bids, show up on your view of Rentals in PeakMonsters:
As you can see, I like the High-Powered Death Deck and that I've gotten some pretty cheap rentals through the Auto-Rent System and sometimes, after I get a cheap rental, I cancel my bid and re-bid at a lower amount!
But either way, that is there to remind of bids I have out as well as whether or not they have been filled.
I've, actually, gotten 3 successively cheaper Llamas through the Auto-Rental System. When I won a bid, I cancelled the bid and put in one at a lower rate! I think I'm paying 60/day for a L1 Llama right now.
