The new account adventure continues, day 1 was about getting the base cards through the campaign (Read about that here, today is about moving up through the bronze leagues in frontier and gaining some more cards to be combined towards max level (silver in foundation cards), I probably spent about an hour playing although I was reading some peakd articles and discord comments while I was battling.
Day 2 - Climbing through Bronze
Things got a little more trickier than yesterday, to get the 10 wins for the 2nd daily reward I ended with a record of 10-6, although one of the losses was due to getting distracted and not submitting a team. On the way to those rewards we also progressed to Bronze 2 and picked up the league progression rewards including a nice epic in Lenore Nevermore.
I am definitely aligned to the nature element while playing my way through bronze and in the 38 battles so far I think I have exclusively led with Dread Tafarian and Mad Gearhead, this may change as we move into the leagues with more rulesets but it’s working so far. A formidable pair!
Also all of this has been done on my phone during my lunch hour, showing the game really can be played casually.
As today’s time comes to an end I have put out a couple of requests in discord groups to see if anyone is accepting a low level account into their guild as I think it’s one of the key things to Splinterlands, finding a home in the community and with guild reworks coming in the future probably best to be in one now.
So far we have picked up a few cards including 1 that is not included in the campaign, a couple more days play and we may be able to upgrade some cards too, although hopefully we can find some archons first...
