As you can see, the monster of this weekly challenge is Lava Spider from Chaos Legion Edition. It has Snipe ability, Snare (Level 6) and Poison (Level 10).
I don't use Lava Spider very often since the Fire Deck gets stronger with Melee Combos (Shield, Opportunity, Sneak), ranged units work well with Yodin, but most of us don't own Yodin and it is very expensive to rent.
So, what kind of Rule Sets should you be picking him?
Explosive Weaponry: Spider is very useful in this Rule Set, since he probably won't strike the monster in the first position, so it will damage 3 monsters in a single turn!
Little League: Since you can pick only monsters up to 4 Mana Cost. He is a good option especially at level 4+ that has 2 Damage Attack which is a huge difference. If the opponent has Monsters with Shield he wouldn't even inflict damage at Level 3-.
Close Range: Well there isn't much to comment about this, Spider won't become useless if he is in 1st position or the last one standing.
The Battle
Rules Set was Little League and Fog of War with 28 Mana Cap.
The Tank: I chose Antoid Platoon because many of the monsters below 4 Mana has only 1 Damage Attack or 2 Max. He didn't a nice job as a primary tank.
Secondary Tank: I chose Xenith Monk for the healing ability, so he could survive a little bit longer before my ranged units become useless in the 1st position.
3rd Position: Serpentine Spy to kill the Ranged/Mages units in the backline.
Backline: Ranged units with good damage, I put Scavo Firebolt in the last position since he has more HP than Spark Pixies (altough his Flying ability helps to dodge Sneak Attack).
Picking faster units was very important, since Xenith couldn't heal himself and died very quickly in 3 Attacks.
Serpentine Spy killed Life Sapper in a single blow. When Venari Bonesmith fell in the beginning of the 2nd round the battle was over. The opponent would have a Ranged Unit as a Tank not attacking.
