This is being my worst season by far and not so much because of the fact that the rewards are bad (that too but not so much) but in terms of Ranking I am far below what I should be a few days left for the end of the season, I'm really playing pretty bad, but also the RNG that Splinterlands has is one of the most unbalanced things there is, but anyway, there are still a few days left and I think I can reach my goal. Returning to the theme of the post, Torhilo the Frozen is a card from the WATER deck that I personally like a lot but has a small detail that I do not like too much and that is that it has a lousy speed, with only 1 point of speed is a card that only serves on certain occasions when the battle rule is appropriate: "Reverse Speed", however it is still a card with excellent Stats as its amount of life points, shield and attack, a card that is also very resistant to magical attacks, which makes it very resistant. That is why Torhilo the Frozen is the main card of today's best battles:
In this first battle I could predict that my opponent would use a large part of his strategy with magic attack cards and that is why to counteract that strategy I used the summoner Bortus and in the first position I placed today's main card: Torhilo the Frozen. Since the "Reverse Speed" battle rule was active, the priority was to use cards with low speed, so both Torhilo the Frozen and all the following cards in this formation (except for the last one) are cards with that kind of stats.
In second position I placed another card with only 1 speed point and it is also one of the many new cards of the last edition and that card is: Junker, which is a card with the ability "Reach" and although it does not have so many attack points, since it only has 2 attack points to Melee, due to its almost no speed and with a good amount of life points (7), it is the perfect card for this battle. In the next position I placed a card that due to its excellent attack points to Melee (6) and for its ability "Sneak", being this one of my favorite abilities was the indicated one, but especially because it has few points of speed (2). In the next two positions I placed cards with the "Opportunity" ability, being also and logically cards with few points in speed and those cards are: Parasitic Growth and Feasting Seaweed respectively, two cards that were very useful in this battle. And in the last position I placed the only card with "disadvantage" of my strategy, since it had 3 speed points and was "less effective" than the other cards of my formation, but it was still very useful thanks to its ability "Blast" and that card is: Poseidon.
In the second battle I faced again another summoner from the WATER deck, so I used again my WATER summoner: Bortus, but in this battle the strategy changed a little bit since I focused more on magic attack cards. Since I assumed again that my opponent would use magic attack cards, I prioritized using cards that would counteract that, being those cards the following: In the first position again I placed Torhilo the Frozen, the main card of today and a card especially strong against magic attack cards. In the second position since the ability "Reach" is another of my favorite cards along with "Sneak", I placed: Flying Squid, a card that in addition to having an excellent amount of life points, also has quite good and effective Melee attack speed points.
In the third position, Poseidon repeats in this formation, a very good and powerful Rank attack card, although I think that placing it in 3rd position was not very smart on my part. In the next 3 positions I placed cards that besides Torhilo the Frozen, serve to counter magical attack cards, being one of those: Djinn Oshannus, a card which has the ability "Void", which reduced enemy damage from magical attacks and also with the ability "Phase" which gives you the ability to dodge magical attacks, being this card excellent against magical attack cards. In the penultimate position another card which is excellent against magic attack cards, as it also has many life points and excellent speed points, that card is: Prismatic Energy, a very old card and very effective even today despite so much imbalance. And in last position I put a card that is an excellent card against magic attacks, being also a card that serves as a "tank" regardless of the enemy cards, that card is: Baakjira, a card with a brutal amount of life points, being 11 in total.
