Splinterlands Card Giveaway
Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for almost two years, so new players can only get them in the market, and that can be pretty expensive. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.

For this week's Blast From The Past Giveaway, I'm giving away a Silvershield Archers card.
When the Silvershield Archers was first released several years ago it was not heavily used. The Double Strike ability was great, but even a Level 10 monster would only do a maximum of 2 points of damage. But since its release, they have added a new Daily Quest requiring 5 victories with a team that has at least one monster with Snipe ability. Suddenly, being able to add a 2 Mana monster with this ability was extremely useful and the card, while not heavily used, gained a very specific use case and increased significantly in value.
Even with the recent price correction on Splinterlands cards, the cheapest Level 1 Silvershield Archers card is still a very respectable $1.70 on the Splinterlands market. That means this card is worth many times the 15 DEC you would get from burning it. So don't even think about sending this card to the burn tanks!
If you are just starting out and haven't been able to add a Silvershield Archers card to your deck or just need another one to level yours up, then you should get in on this giveaway. This Silvershield Archers card will be sent to one lucky winner when this contest closes at post payout time.
If this Silvershield Archers card doesn't fit in with your master plan for Splinterlands domination, or if you lack the skill and wisdom necessary to achieve victory with it, you can always rent it to someone else or try to sell it in the market.
