Out-of-Print Splinterlands Card Giveaway
Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards and give you a little history on the origins of the card. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for two years or more, so new players can only get them in the market, and that can be pretty expensive. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.

This Week's Giveaway
This week's Blast From The Past Giveaway card is the original "Terror of the Deep", I'm talking about the Sea Monster.
This aquatic serpent has long plagued those who travel by sea. Legend says that some are even big enough to swallow a ship whole and every sailor has a story or two to tell over a mug of ale about the time he narrowly escaped death when his ship was attacked by one of these beasts. What battle mage worth his salt would contemplate fielding a Water Splinter team that didn't include a Sea Monster?
While the Sea Monster is a little costly in Mana, even a level 1 card can summon a monster with plenty of health and capable of dealing serious damage to your opponent's team. Most importantly, all Sea Monsters have the ability to heal themselves! As you level your Sea Monster up, he also gains the ability Thorns.
Right now, the cheapest level 1 Sea Monster card is $0.95 on the Splinterlands market, but you can win one for free here if you enter the giveaway.
