I just got my daughters, the @KidSisters, a Splinterlands account going, and they like it a lot, but have only managed to win one battle after playing 100+ battles. It was a bit disheartening, but I realize no matter how good their strategy is, when they are up against players in the same tier that have a 600+ rating, they are getting destroyed no matter how they go about it.
They do like the concept of the game though, especially since they are Khmer and there is a Khmer Princess card, and they are likely the first Khmer owners of the Khmer Princess Splinterlands card, so that's pretty cool. But the way things are at the moment, they would have to battle for 6 straight hours just to win 5 to complete a daily quest, so we have no time management strategy yet.
I would like to let them spend 15-30 minutes a day on the game, and be able to complete a quest each day, and I can see that's possible, but it will take more financial investment first. She just invested 30 more of her own HIVE into the game, bought 3 packs, but is still getting destroyed in every quest battle. I told her she needs to post about Splinterlands and get involved in Splintertalk, and she can win cards, and perhaps cool adults will hook her up with freebies cause she's a young and promising Hiver.
Anyways, just as we are getting our journey going, and she has a basic understanding of the game, this whole land thing comes out. It's certainly a lot for a non-native English speaking kid to learn, and I must admit, me too. However, I think this is an awesome addition to the game, and it will only make it more interesting and dynamic. !BEER
