The Bearded Beavers guild and my first brawl
Games like Splinterlands are way more fun when played together. Therefore I searched for a guild and came across the Bearded Beavers. Since the 2nd of January I am proud member of this community of brave men.
The membership in a Splinterlands Guild has several benefits for the player. Depending on the level of the guilds Lodge there is a bonus on DEC you get for winning a battle and you get a discount when shopping with DEC. By joining a guild it is expected, that the members donate some DEC to finance the upgrades up of the buildings. The beavers expect 200 DEC per season, which is not a big amount, to be part of this wonderful people.

In addition it is possible to join Brawls. Brawls are a series of battles fought between different guilds at the same time. The winning guilds get Crowns which can be spend to upgrade the guilds buildings. The participating members receive Merits for their participation. These merits can be spend in the guild store for booster packs with Gladiators. Special cards, which can only be used in brawls. The cannot be sold or rented yet. But lets see, what will come.
My first participation went OK. I could only use Untamed-Cards, which I do not have many of. At the end I had two wins and two losses.
I would advise everyone to join a guild. The game makes a lot more fun, nd you can learn from and support each other. Maybe I am writing a separate post regarding guilds sometime.
Vouchers for the General Sale of Chaos Legion wtf?!
In my last post I wrote, that I plan to buy 500 booster packs, so I can get the 75 bonus packs for free. What I did not know at this point of time is, that the bonus packs are not completly for free, but you need Vouchers to buy them. Until the end of the Voucher AirDrops I will get around 1,6 Vouchers. I am missing the samll number of 73,4 vouchers for my initial plan. If you calculate a voucher with 2,6 $ this is an additional capital need of 191 $. 2,6 $ is still cheaper than 4 $, never the less this invest would breach my limit of 2.000 € I set myself for Splinterlands.
Therefore I adapted my plan a bit. I plan to buy 400 packs during the general sale and get 40 Vouchers upfront, so I can get the 40 bonus packs. If some can be found to co-invest with me, I would be willing to buy the 500 and split them afterwards.
To buy the vouchers I used my 149 € which in the meantime arrived at AdvCash. I transfered them to Binance, exchanged them for Litecoin and swapped them via blocktrades.us into Hive. The Hive I converted with BeeSwap-Convert into Swap.Hive. This is a lot cheaper than using the deposit button in the Hive engine (0,25 % instead 1%). This is in my opinion the cheapest way to transfer FIAT money like EURO into the Hive System. It takes a bit longer, since you first have to transfer the money via SEPA to AdvCash (it took me 3 bank working days), but for the whole process I paid only around 1,5 % of the amount. I will create a more detailed tutorial on this in the coming days.
Rewards for Daily Quests and Online commitment
For my Daily Quest on the 3rd of January I received an Alchemy Potion. For the 04.01. and 05.01. I again received the rare card Venari Seedsmith. This have been nr. 4 and 5 in my collection.
I am wondering a bit, that I get this card now for the 5th time during a daily quest, but I wont complain. It is still strange to me. I now combined my 5 Seedsmiths to a L2 one. It is my first L2. Even so I may never play it, it will have a special place in my heart 😍

On 2nd and 3rd aof January I took the weekly Share your Battle challenge from the splinterlands account. If you post a battle report and give some additional information around your fight and the lineup you choose, as well as sharing your post in social media, you will get some upvotes from the Steemmonsters account. This upvotes are worth several $. This is one of the easiest ways, to earn money in the Splinterlands environment. I addition you promote the game, and help to fin new players, which is in our own interest. My other posts get some upvotes as well, but for sure with smaller rewards.

Today after I wrote most of this blog entry, the crypto market had severe losses. Even though I invested 150 € into the portfolio in the last days and the number of DEC and SPS increased I lost around 200 $ in DEC alone. If DEC are not going to recover this loss, it will be hard to even finance the 400 packs I plan to buy. But such days a part of the investing process. It is not a one way road to financial freedom. Sometimes we need to take a diversion. I think a lot of people have been hit even harder than me today. The final 286,68 € to my 2.000 € Invest are on their way to AdvCash. It may be, that I need them now fast than thought.

Die Gilde der Bearded Beavers und mein erster Brawl
Spiele wie Splinterlands machen gemeinsam mit anderen viel mehr Spaß. Daher gibt es oft Clans, Gilden oder Einheiten denen sich Spieler anschließen können, um gemeinsam das Spiel zu genießen. Auf der Suche nach einer Gilde bin ich in Discord auf die Bearded Beavers gestoßen, oder besser gesagt die Beavers auf mich. Seid dem 02.01.2022 bin ich nun dort Mitglied.
Die Mitgliedschaft in einer Gilde in Splinterlands hat diverse Vorteile. Je nach Ausbaustufe des Gildengebäudes Lodge gibt es z.B. einen Bonus auf die DEC, die man bei Siegen erhält und man erhält einen DEC Rabatt beim Kauf von Produkten. Im Gegenzug wird erwartet, dass man einen Teil der eigenen DEC an die Gilde spendet, um die Gebäude weiter auszubauen. Die Beavers erwarten pro Saison 200 DEC, was 1 € alle zwei Wochen entspricht. Ein geringer Beitrag, um Teil dieser super Truppe zu sein.

Außerdem ist es über Gilden möglich an Brawls teilzunehmen. Brawls sind Kämpfe in denen mehrere Gilden gegeneinander antreten, um Crowns zu gewinnen. Diese sind notwendig um die Gebäude weiter auszubauen, oder Gegenstände im Guild Store zu kaufen. Als Teilnehmer in einem Brawl erhält man Merits, die man gegen spezielle Boosterpacks mit Gladiatorenkarten eintauschen kann. Diese sind besonders stark, können aber nur in Brawls eingesetzt werden und auch nicht verkauft oder verliehen werden.
Meine erste Teilnahme an einem Brawl lief ganz ok. In meinen Kämpfen konnten leider nur Untamed-Karten eingesetzt werden. Da ich keine eigenen Untamed-Karten besitze, musste ich mit dem Stock arbeiten. Am Ende standen dennoch 2 Siege und 2 Niederlagen.
Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen sich einer Gilde anzuschließen. Das spielen macht mehr Spaß, man lernt von einander und es gibt diverse Möglichkeiten sich gegenseitig zu helfen. Vielleicht schreibe ich hierzu nochmal einen eigenen Beitrag.
Vouchers für den General Sale der Chaos Legion wtf?!
In meinem letzten Beitrag habe ich geschrieben, dass ich plane 500 Boosterpacks zu kaufen, um die 75 Bonus Packs gratis zu erhalten. Was ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht wusste ist, dass man für jedes Gratis Boosterpack einen Voucher benötigt. Ich werde bis zum ende des Voucher AirDrops ca. 1,6 Voucher haben. Mir fehlen also 73,4 Voucher um die 75 Bonuspacks zu erhalten. Ein Voucher wird derzeit für ca. 2,6 $ gehandelt. Damit kämen nochmal ca. 191 $ an zusätzlichen Kosten auf mich zu. 2,6 $ ist immer noch günstiger als 4 $, aber nichts desto trotz sprengt das derzeit mein Limit von ca. 2.000 € die ich insgesamt in Splinterlands investieren wollte.
Daher habe ich meinen Plan etwas abgewandelt. Ich plane im General Sale mindestens 400 Packs zu kaufen und mir im Vorfeld 40 Voucher zu sichern, um die 40 Bonuspacks abgreifen zu können. Wenn sich noch jemand findet, der sich beteiligen möchte, stocke ich eventuell auf die 500 Boosterpacks auf.
Dafür habe ich am 01.04.22 die 149 € die mittlerweile auf meinem AdvCash Konto eingegangen waren nach Binance transferiert, in Litecoin getauscht und dann über Blocktrades.us in Hive gewandelt. Über BeeSwap-Convert habe ich die Hive in Swap.Hive konvertiert. Das kostet nur 0,25 % anstatt der Einzahlgebühr von 1% bei Hive-Engine. Das ist der aus meiner Sicht günstigste Weg, Fiat Money wie EUR in (Swap.Hive umzuwandeln). Es dauert allerdings ein paar Tage (bei mir 3 Bankarbeitstage) bis die SEPA Überweisung auf AdvCash angekommen ist. Insgesamt habe ich ca. 1% des Wertes auf dem Weg verloren. Auch hierzu mache ich in den kommenden Tagen noch einen eigenen Beitrag, da ich im Netz diesen Weg noch nicht finden konnte.
Belohnungen für Tagesquests und mein Onlineengagement
Für die Tagesquests am 03.01. erhielt ich eine Alchemy Potion für den 04.01. und 05.01. eine weitere selten Karte meinen 4. und 5.Venari Seedsmith.
Ich wundere mich ein wenig, dass ich nun zum 5. mal genau diese Karte in einer Tagesquest hatte, aber ok. Ich will mich sicher nicht beschweren. Seltsam ist es dennoch. Ich habe meine 5 Seedsmith nun zu einer L2 Karte kombiniert. Meine Erste 😍.

Ich habe am 02.01. und 03.01. jeweils an der Share your Battle Quest von Spliterlands teilgenommen. Dies wurde vom Steemmonster Account mit mehreren HiveReward $ honoriert, die ich komplett in HP erhalten werden. Die Share Your Battle Challenge wird von Splinterlands jede Woche veranstaltet. Ihr müsst nur einen Battlereport nach vorgegebenen Kriterien schreiben und diesen bei Social Media teilen. Ich mache das auf Twitter. Das ist einer der einfachsten Wege mit Splinterlands Geld zu verdienen und ihr tut etwas dafür, dass mehr Spieler auf Splinterlands aufmerksam werden, was uns allen zu gute kommt. Auch meine anderen Beiträge erhalten erste Upvotes, wenn auch mit viel geringeren Beträgen.

Heute sind sämtliche Kryptowährungen abgeschmiert. Obwohl ich in den letzten Tagen 150 € eingezahlt habe und die Anzahl meiner SPS und DEC gestiegen sind, habe ich über 200 $ allein an DEC Wert verloren. Wenn sich der Wert nicht erholt, wird es sogar schwierig die geplanten 400 Packs mit meinen maximal 2.000 € zu investierenden Kapital zu kaufen. Egal, solche Tage gehören dazu und bis zum Sale sind ja noch ein paar Tage hin. Der WEg zur finanziellen Freiheit ist keine Einbahnstraße. Manchmal müssen wir eine Umleitung nehmen. DArüber hinaus hat es einige Leute im Netzwerk sicherlich härter heute getroffen als mich. Die restlichen 286,68 € sind auf dem Weg zu AdvCash und können dann nachgeschossen werden.
