Become a Splinterlands Pro for < $20

I was 1 of 5 Splinterns participating in the Splinterlands Summer Internship Program. The official internship period concluded today, but we'll continue to maintain our project: SplintX. I've enjoyed writing and posting from the Hive account@splintern account and I'm sort of all-in on the Hive ecosystem. Right now, I'm curating/posting on the Splintern account, playing around with wHIVE (among other UniSwap tokens when ETH isn't being stupid), continuing to promote SplintX and of course, playing @Splinterlands much more than I should be. One project i've been wanting to do is document and show how easy getting started, playing and earning on Splinterlands really is. This account, Hive account@notswizz, reached Champions I for the 1st time last season and I'll occasionally grind @SplintX for the end of season rewards. I want to show how affordable/profitable this game can really be so I'm going to fund my account with less than $20 ($19 to be exact). Create Account

One aspect that makes Splinterlands so successful is that they cut out the blockchain mumble jumble that non-crypto players don't care about. Examples of this include registering with just an email and password, and the ability to fund your account with PayPal.

1. To create your account, click here

2. Click "Play Now" -> "Create Account"

choose your Splinterlands username
- this will also be your Hive username

3 . Enter your email and create password

4 . Verify email

5 . Login

OK...so I have my account, Hive account@follow-notswizz, created. The next step is to purchase the Summoners Spell-book, so that I can start earning Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) from battles, Daily Quests and End of Season Rewards!

Important: Request Keys

You want to "request keys" so that you can gain total access to your Hive account and unlock the full Splinterlands experience.

Your private keys will be sent to the email associated with your account and there will be a one-time link that shows your keys. I recommend copying and pasting your keys into both a local and cloud file. Do not share your keys with anybody else.

Fund your Account

Splinterlands makes funding your account super easy with both fiat and crypto options. To fund with PayPal, simply click the "credits" + icon at the top

click pay with PayPal and complete the payment process with your PayPal account.
