Splinterlands growth is being seen in almost every areas of the game. We got to see some upgrades in the game play, some new rule sets were introduced, Licenses were introduced into the game, recently Lands have been implemented in the game and countless other features have been brought to us by the team. Also, there are many more upcoming changes which are to be implemented into the game in the coming months.
Since, Spplinterlands is increasing its user base across the globe, there are users who prefers the user experience to be as smooth as possible. Which brings in the topic of mobile phone, in play! A majority of users do prefer to have the experience of game play in mobile phone. As for Splinterlands, this phase is no different. A majority of Splinterlands players are using the mobile app of Splinterlands. This number has been increasing and probably in the next boom of Splinterlands, this will have an immense chance of bringing more players/users into the game in the coming days.
There are various reasons why players prefer mobile experience while playing Splinterlands or any other game that they enjoy! Some basic experiences are :
- Easy to use
- One can use it anywhere at anytime
- No hassle required, just input key and you are good to go
- Time Saving
- Access from anywhere
- In many countries players prefer mobile than of PC
Current status of Splinterlands mobile app
It has a whooping 100k + downloads over the span in playstore. It does really indicates something to think about for the team. Yes, the number might look small but compared to the quantity of users it sure is not less. I can not get into any more detailed information about this this but if the data is correct and even 50% is active in phone that number is pretty large. So IMO making the user experience much more dedicated is indeed necessary for us all.

As myself, a player of Splinterlands, I have using the mobile app of Splinterlands for the last couple of weeks. I must say it has been of help to me in various ways in submitting my battle and also enjoy my time while using this app on my phone. Although, there has been some funny incidents as well, which brings back some good memories to enjoy due to playing this game in public places lol.
Keeping everything aside, let me share how my experience has been about the mobile app of Splinterlands :
My first impression was "what is happening with this app"? Splinterlands in web page is a light year ahead of its mobile app. I must say, there has been multiple play to earn gaming experience of mine. Of all of them, I would keep Splinterlands on the top spot. May that it be visualizations, the neat and calmness of UI and everything sorted out in the web version makes Splinterlands one of the best game of this sector.
While playing on phone the scenario is quite different. The excitement that it feels while I play on PC, that reflection is not available in mobile version. I know, I know, Splinterlands is become quite big and fitting everything in mobile app is not really possible. But we must admit, there are always room for improvements. If some changes could be made within the mobile app, things would be a lot different for players and the game itself!
Few Key points to think about :
Tournaments
It would be so much better to play tournaments from the mobile app. There are multiple times where I was not able to participate in tournaments as I was away from my PC. Although, there are 24 hour time frame but accessing this tab from mobile would have been a lot supportive for everyone. I hope in the coming days, this would get into fruition. As in participating tournaments, it requires some transaction of DEC/SPS, I suppose some additional securities are needed to make it come into reality.
Solution: Let the participation in tournaments done in PC but players can submit the matches from the mobile app. This could come in really handy for many players.
Can only get access to DEC
There are times when I wanted to check out my SPS in mobile app but you know you can not. Although, I am aware there are many requirements needed to integrate this feature in the app but this could really open a nice phase to the app.
Focus chests Claim :
It is one of the most annoying issue that I have faced over the weeks. It happened to me twice or three times over the period. Whenever, I have claimed my focus it does shows it has been claimed but one I am back after few hours it shows it has not been claimed and this way I have just lost couple of hours and I have to restart my quest once again. It has bugged me a lot and I just wanted to say it out loud.
There are some other issues which would really improve the user experience of a user in the mobile app. The animation during the battle, also a search option to select monsters in a battle based on their abilities. I can not wait to see how the GUILD(Brawl) battle would play out in the mobile app.
I suppose if you are a mobile app user of Splinterlands you might as well have some suggestions or share your thoughts about the app. I would love to hear about it as well.
