Hello community, today my post is about the Radiated Brute card from the game Splinterlands, participating in the weekly challenge proposed by the Splinterlands team
WEEKLY BATTLE CHALLENGE:
THEME: Radiated Brute
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Common
Element: Fire
Attack: Melee
Abilities: Reach
STATS OF CARD
Radiated Brute seems like a harmless card for its low speed, but don't be fooled because it's an above average card for a common rarity card.
At the initial level it is a card with low speed, and with good health points, its main ability is Reach, being a Melee attack it can attack in the first position and in the second position.
At level 6, you gain a new skill Enrage, which increases your attack and speed when hit, making it a very strong card with this new skill and its evolution. You can see that at the initial level it looks like a weak card, but at the maximum level it is a card with its well-evolved attributes, from attack strength to speed, it is a very strong card, spending only 5 Mana.
Although its Reach ability allows it to attack from the first or second position, depending on the battle ruleset, Radiated Brute can be combined in any attack position, in battles with Equal Opportunity, Melee Mayhem, Super Sneak ruleset, it can attack from any position.
Due to its low speed at the initial level, Radiated Brute has more advantage in Reverse Speed ruleset, in which it is one of the first to attack, but in the following battles I will show that Radiated Brute is a very strong card and that it can win in sets of battles other than just Reverse Speed.
BATTLE 1
This battle had Noxious Fumes and Lost Legendaries as a set of rules, I chose Tarsa as a summoner to buffer my monsters with +1 Health and +1 Melee Attack preventing negative effects so for the battle formation I chose the first position Forgotten One due to the your Immunity skill. Being a battle with a negative ruleset with Poison, the Immunity skill would make my monster immune to negative effects, giving it a huge advantage.
In this battle I used Radiated Brute in second position, it was not appropriate to use it as a tank, and the choice of the rest of my monsters was taking into account Poison, so I didn't choose monsters with low health points to be able to survive more than one round, and that they had good attack to eliminate the opponent's monsters.
As the opponent chose magic monsters, my tank has no ability to deal with Magic attacks, and ends up being eliminated at the beginning of the second round.
But the difference in the battle was that I chose monsters with good health that allowed them to survive attacks and Poison, and in the end my monsters managed to eliminate the opponent's monsters before they were eliminated and so I won the battle.
BATTLE 2
This battle the Super Sneak and Holy Protection ruleset, so it was important to increase the strength of my Melee attacks, and for that I had the Tarsa summoner, and it was important to decrease the strength of the opponent's attacks and for that I had Disintegrator.
As melee monsters had a Sneak ability, Radiate Brute could attack from any position so I protected him in 3rd position.
Not knowing what the opponent would choose, I could take advantage of the ruleset and choose Melee attack monsters or I could choose magic or ranged attack monsters, so my strategy was to protect the front line from magic attacks using Tusk The Wide with Void skill and excellent health points, and protecting the last row with Shield skill and for that I chose Living Lava.
In my formation I chose Grum Flameblade with Bloodlust ability and Void Armor, to continue protecting my front line from magic attacks.
Ant Miners I bought this card recently because I find it very useful in battles due to its Scavenger ability, and in those battles where Melee attacks can attack from any position it is a very useful card in battle.
The opponent chose a similar strategy also using Disintegrator to reduce the Melee attack and combined it with the Shield ability which made the battle a little time consuming.
But my strategy was well put together, Radiated Brute becomes important in the battle that eliminates an opponent's monster, Ant Miners starts the battle with 2 health and ends with 10 health, and the great Grum Flameblade applies Bloodlust and manages to neutralize the opponent's monsters.
BATTLE 3
In the ruleset of this battle it was only allowed to use Melee attack monsters. so I chose again Tarsa for summoner, Living Lava as a tank to protect me with Shield skill, in second position Radiated Brute since it has Reach skill could attack from second position, in third position Radiated Scorcher due to having low health points to be targeted by Opportunity attacks while Serpentine Spy could eliminate Opportunity monster from opponent and lastly Tenyii Striker with Sneak ability.
The opponent's strategy was to decrease the strength of my attack using Disintegrator and protect the last line by putting Crypt Beetle with Shield ability and as a tank Cursed Windeku with Thorns ability.
This strategy could work, using this team is only attacking with two monsters, while my team is attacking with four monsters, and so it has everything to go wrong.
I won this battle due to the Tarsa summoner and the opponent's team choice which allowed me to attack more times with my monsters while he only attacked with two monsters per round, and that limited him the damage he dealt to my monsters, allowing that I won the battle.
BATTLE 4
In this battle the ruleset does not allow using magic attack monsters and all monsters have Opportunity ability.
Here my strategy was to use Tarsa again combining the strength with the health of the monsters, Radiated Brute would be my monster with less health points which would be the first target of attacks.
The opponent chose a team similar to mine in which we use four identical monsters including the summoner, but in slightly different positions.
As Tenyii Striker has Sneak ability prevails over Opportunity, so as the opponent also chose Tenyii Striker, my monster became the monster with the lowest health points on my team, being the target of Opportunity attacks instead of Radiated Brute.
It was a balanced battle, what made the difference was choosing Goblin Mech and Forgotten One that have attack strength and high health points, which made Living Lava the target of Opportunity attacks hitting the Shield skill while my monsters the opponent's monsters were eliminated and in this battle the battlefield strategy made the difference and I managed to win the battle.
RESUME
In these four battles that I share, I used Radiated Brute in all of them in various positions in the battle formation. With several sets of rules, in some battles Radiated Brute was more decisive, but I demonstrate that it is possible to use and combine in several formations even when Radiated Brute in its initial level has low speed and appears to be a harmless card, my strategies in battles worked with Radiated Brute and was not a card less in battle, but an important card, useful, and that can be combined in various positions and various sets of rules.
