Magic Attack Monsters usually target the first position Monster on the opposing team. There are Magic Attack Monsters capable of attacking in the back line, but they are not many. Since Magic Attacks deal direct health damage, it is very important to have a good defense against them. But when the opponents are quite powerful, it is not enough to defend very well. If I feel that the opposing team is too powerful, it is much more effective to defend well on the front line and attack the opposing team's back line strongly.
Battle Ruleset
Armored Up
Close Range
Mana Cap 56
Armored Up rule means all Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Close Range rule means Ranged Attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
Before starting the battle, I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player and they had quite powerful NFT cards. The opposing player generally preferred Magic Attack Monsters and indeed had very powerful NFT cards for my deck. Frankly, I had no chance of defeating the opposing team with Magic Attacks. Frankly, my only chance was to defend well on the front line and destroy the opposing team's back line with powerful attacks. This strategy is indeed a very good strategy against Magic Attack Monsters and I usually prefer this strategy against powerful opponents.
Sneak and Opportunity Monsters are quite adept at destroying the opposing team's backline, that's why I've added very powerful a Sneak and an Opportunity Monster to the team for this battle. In this battle, I thought SAND WORM with the Sneak Ability and DEEPLURKER with the Opportunity Ability could easily destroy the opposing team's back line.
- Monsters with the Sneak Ability target the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.
- Monsters with the Opportunity Ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
In this battle against a really tough team, my strategy worked pretty well and my team was able to beat a pretty powerful team easily. Frankly, when I saw the opponent's strategy, I had no other chance to beat such a powerful team. And because I teamed up with the right strategy before the war, I won the tough battle.
