Browsing the Chaos Legion cards, the first time I saw Chaos Dragon, I got curious and tested it in actual battle.
With its 3 magic attacks, 3 speed, 10 health, 4 shield plus flying and scattershot abilities, this card should be your first consideration in a high mana fight. In this battle, you will see a demonstration of the power of Chaos Dragon by taking down four out of the six hostile monsters.
This is a 50-mana fight and all monsters possess an opportunity ability. It’s a fight between life splinters against the combined forces of dragon and life splinters. It’s magic versus range attackers, Delwyn Dragonscale against General Sloan.
From the outset, you will observe that the other player has the advantage because four out of his 6 cards are all leveled up. Both camps have a monster with scattershot ability. Monster like this attack randomly. It is even cannot be confined by the taunt ability of the enemy. He chooses his own target, which makes this card very unpredictable and dangerous. However, there are times that it will also work against you since you cannot predict what will it do next.
The other player prefers to have more cards with low health. There are times that such strategy works to divert the enemies’ attacks. Nevertheless, that is not the case in this current battle. In a high mana fight with all monsters possessing an opportunity ability, I prefer few cards with high health. That’s the reason why I limit my selection with two high health dragon splinters plus two high health life splinters: Chaos Dragon, Robo-Dragon Knight, Uriel the Purifier, and Silvershield Sheriff.
Round 1 – Silvershield Sheriff was taken down first for he has the lowest health in Delwyn Dragonscale’s camp.
Round 2 – Portal Spinner is the first enemy monster taken down by Chaos Dragon. Robo-Dragon Knight is really a very strong thank with its 8 shield and void ability.
Round 3 – Chaos Dragon took down Shieldbearer and Time Mage. Though Uriel the Purifier is not so helpful in terms of attacks, but his shield and high health are very useful.
Round 4 - Something to the credit of Uriel the Purifier, he struck Luminous Eagle with just one blow with his recharge ability.
Round 5 – The last enemy slain by Chaos Dragon was Pelacor Arbalest, a very powerful range attacker with his double strike ability.
This battle ended with a total of 6 rounds!
