Novice Training Grounds EV by
has been running Novice Training Grounds EV Tournaments with an entry cost of 1 DEC only for a little while now. Those tournaments are very good for trying out different lineups while having fun. Thank you, Marcus!
In the following battle, I've tested out the Forgotten One in the Spreading Fury ruleset, something I learned from one of my opponents a while ago.
The Forgotten One is too often synonymous with the Noxious Fumes ruleset thanks to its ability Immunity. Sure, it can often handle those battles alone.
However, this monster can offer more than simple resiliency in poisonous situations. It actually comes with 4 Melee attacks right off the bat and has a fair amount of shield to sustain a bit in the front line.
By running it with Tarsa, the Forgotten One starts a battle with 5 Melee attacks. And, on top of that, once it gets enraged in the Spreading Fury ruleset, its damage goes to the roof reaching 8 Melee attacks.
In the following battle, the Forgotten One knocked out Phantasm, which had 7 HP, in one single hit. Ironically enough, it was Phantasm itself that got my Forgotten One enraged.

Another example from the Battle Mode
Soon after, I found myself in a similar situation during a regular battle. This time, however, the Forgotten One was facing a much more resilient tank, the Flesh Golem and its Heal. In Gold leagues, this monster can be sometimes hard to get through.
Nevertheless, in this specific configuration, the 8 Melee attacks of the Forgotten One successfully wiped out the Flesh Golem and Earth Elemental in two hits between Rounds 2 and 3. That was quite impressive to watch as the Flesh Golem only gets its Heal at level 3, while my Forgotten One was only a one BCX card.

I hope you've learned something through those two battles or at least, got entertained.
See you in the next one!
