Janks here with my first Splinterlands battle strategy blog post.
I wanted to share with y'all one of my favorite combinations, the life splinter with armor regeneration. I find this tactic very useful in 20+ mana battles, and even more useful with certain rules being applied.
This whole combination is built on summoner Tyrus, Armorsmith, and Shieldbearer.
- Place Shielbearer in your first position with Armorsmith behind him or in the third position, with a high health or high shield card, that can attack from second position. This will have Shieldbearer tank all of the hits, while Armorsmith resupplies his shield.
- Next, we'll need heavy hitting magic/ranged cards behind these two. If the mana cap is closer to 20, I usually use Light Elemental and Peacebringer. If the mana cap is higher, go for higher damage cards. The goal is for your backline decimate the opponents cards early, so that your Shieldbearer will last longer.
Pros:
- If your opponent does not have any magic attacking cards, you can create a situation where your Armorsmith repairs Shieldbearer's armor before your opponent attacks, so no health will be damaged to Shieldbearer. Having Creeping Ooze helps ensure that your armor with regenerate before your opponents attack.
- High ranged/magic damage.
- Counters sneak/snipe/opportunity cards and rulesets. All attacks will be focused on Shieldbearer, while you decimate their backline.
- Counters Thorns ability since you focus on ranged/magic. Focus more on ranged if you suspect they'll use Unicorn Mustang.
- Perfect for Weak Magic ruleset, where "Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.
Cons:
- Weak against magic splinter and magic attacking cards. High damage magic cards could wipe Shieldbearer out early and leave you exposed. That is why a second high health or armor card is helpful in the second position.
Thank you for reading my post on strategy that I love using in Splinterlands. I'll try and post more strategies as I develop them. Would love feedback to help fine tune this strategy.
