Chaos Legion General Sale Launch

Everyone was pretty excited for the general sale, myself included! The general sale started at 1am where I'm from, and I knew I HAD to buy during the first few minutes. As I had already prepared all my credits and vouchers in advance, I had enough to purchase 500 packs + 75 bonus packs.

Because of the huge influx of players, purchasers encountered this:

After around 10 minutes, I got my packs! These are amazing! Well, I've got a few friends that bought packs with me so I'd get the airdrop points, so I've only got 350 packs. I plan to hold these until all the airdrop cards are released so I can get those awesome legendary summoenrs!

While I was busy celebrating my packs, and sending the packs to my friends, I saw this announcement. Boy was I glad to have done all my credit purchases early on.

Did I open any packs? Yes. I opened two, but I made sure to still HODL 350 packs. The first one was crap, but the second one was amazing!

Let's Talk Investments

Splinterlands is a game and an investment for me. I believe in the future of the game, and that's why I've been buying SPS since Day 1, and now I added Chaos Legion Packs to my investments.

I am expecting to earn an additional 1875 SPS after the airdrop. Assuming that the airdrop points increase exponentially, 1500 SPS seems like the most likely amount I'd be getting. With a value of SPS at 1 USD, that's an additional 1500 USD for a 1400 USD Pack investment. In addition, the packs will probably increase in value the moment it gets sold out, which I think may take a few week to a few months. Once they sell out, it will be an easy double your money.

Did I go all in?

No. Most of my money was in SPS, and I plan to go in heavy on Rift Watchers. I believe SPS will surge in price then so right now is the best time to keep the money in SPS and accumulate those vouchers. There's only 3M total for sale then, so I expect more pushing and shoving then.
