No, I'm not a "naturally" flexible person. And on top of that, I had only just recovered from a serious leg injury (torn hamstring) when I began producing this program. And on top of that, I'm a man. And on top of that, I'm old! Hahaha, so there:
1, not naturally flexible
2, recent injuries
3, man
4, old
So if this 10 week flexibility program works for me, it can work for you :)
You want to know the key to practical flexibility? Well it's this: you need to get strong at your maximum range of motion! And that's exactly what we're gonna do over the next 10 weeks of training together.
But why "strong" side splits? I'll answer that with some detail in this video, so you understand the importance of this kind of flexibility training. Because with consistent, disciplined training, yes you can get the splits. But what's the point? What are you going to do with side splits anyway? Perform party tricks? No problem if you want to train hard for a party trick, but what about if you want to apply it to real life? What if you want your flexibility training to benefit your martial arts or dance or gymnastics or every day life? Well passive, party trick splits might not really help you with that. Strong side splits will :)

What does Bruce Lee think of the Ten Thousand Method principles? "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times..."
