Marco Reus has returned from a long injury, even made a goal. Borussia Dortmund is now ready to discuss a new contract with him.
Reus was forced to miss the first half of the 2017/2018 season with a knee ligament injury he had picked up in last season's DFB-Pokal finals. This is so injured the umpteenth time that Reus got during Dortmund strengthening.
Reus's new comeback as Dortmund beat Hamburg 2-0 on 10 February. Since then, Reus has played five times and made two goals. Seeing the more moncer performance, Dortmund ready to negotiate again related to his new contract.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said Dortmund were originally looking to sign a new contract to Reus for a long time. But the 28-year-old player was reluctant to discuss it as long as his condition has not recovered correctly. Reus himself is currently under contract with Dortmund until summer 2019.
"We understand very well that Marco does not want to get into the contract discussions during his injuries, and of course, we will talk more intensely now," Zorc told Sport Bild quoted by the Daily Mail.
Reus itself into Dortmund game motor since long. Joining since 2012, 91 goals and 61 assists from 194 matches presented, which led to three trophies namely once DFB Pokal and two German Super Cup.
