Sup SteemSquad
So the world cup has kicked off and many steemians are getting in on the action with prediction score games, reviews of the games, opinions of who they think will win it and who they are supporting for the tournament and it's really livened up my feed which has been pretty slow as of late.
I've been going through tons of World cup content on the site and I didn't see much love for stand out players for each game and I thought it would be a cool series of posts to run with for the next month.

Australia vs Peru
The man of the match goes to Andre Carrillo who put South Americans went ahead with a fine, low 15-yard volley. Carrillo, who spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Watford from Benfica, connected perfectly with Guerrero's cross for their first goal of the competition. The goal was the first for Peru in a World Cup finals since Guillermo La Rosa scored in the 5-1 defeat to Poland in 1982.
Denmark vs France
In a game that lacked any ambition has both teams were happy to settle for a draw in order to qualify there were no real talking points and probably there most forgettable game at this year's World Cup. Looking for someone to nominate in this game was hard since no one gave it there all but I've had to go with Denmark’s one genuine star Christian Eriksen who was involved in two of the rare moments of excitement in this otherwise forgettable match.
Iceland vs Croatia
In a team with Modric and Rakitic its always going to hard to outshine players of that calibre but the current Real Madrid midfielder put in an excellent performance and I have to give it to Mateo Kovacic In addition to completing 99% of his passes, * won four tackles - a high for Croatia. With 98 touches he saw more ball than anyone on the pitch and, in a display in which Croatia were happy to keep the ball for long spells, his role was pivotal

Nigeria vs Argentina
I'm giving the man of the match to Lionel Messi. He may have faded after the break, but Argentina's talisman was superb in the first half, scoring a wonderful opener. His goal sparked the game into life and gave Argentina hope when they struggled to break through a stubborn Nigerian defence.
Have your say
So there you have it, the stand out players from the last 4 games. All these players are pretty much playing at elite clubs in the European club scene so its not surprising that they're showing their quality.
