The Barmy Army has often been known to take on the opposition with their classy sledges and tunes but this one might not go down too well with David Warner and co.
In a bid to rattle the Aussie opener, the Barmy Army has come out with a new verse which speaks of the All Blacks player and his tryst with Warner's wife Candice.
Before Candice met Warner, she had had a sexual tryst with Sonny Bill Williams and a reference of that incident has been made in their latest tune.
The Barmy Army rhyme goes:
"Davie Warner is over the hill
Came second to Sonny Bill
He’ll only pick a fight with men in a wig
When he opens his gob
We think he’s a knooooob
With Root our captain we’ll take the urn home..."
Candice had spoken of that incident in an interview and said:
"I wasn’t in a state where I didn’t know what happened, but you don’t think of how your actions, when you’re drunk, can have an affect on your life."
Wonder how Warner will respond to this.
