It is World Cup time. Time to do what a third of humanity is doing this month and watch soccer. I live in Bangkok and can't make it to this World Cup. But if I can't go to the football mountain then the football mountain will just have to come to me. I'm going to scour Bangkok embassies, bars, restaurants and online forums until I can find somebody from each of the 32 countries taking part.
English, French, German and Japanese will be easy to find. Senegalese, Icelandic and Uruguayan less so.
Games will generally kick off at 7pm, 10pm and 1am local Bangkok time making it easy to find football fans after work. Is there a Serbian soccer fan among Bangkok's 10 million residents? I'm going to do my best to find out.
