Mountainboarding is nothing new to the adrenaline seekers of today, it's roots go back as far as the early 1900s, when James Stanley visited the Matterhorn and snow was not available. But this is not a history lesson from yours truly, the real contemporary mountainboarding started in the US, Australia and the Uk in the early 90's...It basically derived from snowboarding, but evolved into it's own thing, an exciting all terrain riding and landkiting, super action sport!! All you need is a mountainboard and a downhill terrain!

I'm a complete amateur, snowboarder by heart, but my husband and a wide circle of friends have been doing it for years. ...That said, I must stress, that ladies (except me :) ) are fierce riders of the dirty tracks!!!!
Through a time period of 6 years, we've built our own track by hand and organized a number of successful EUROPEAN CHALLENGES called DIRT DESSERT (http://www.dirtdessert.si/) and this year in June, we're hosting the WORLD CAMPIONSHIP!!!! ( http://wmc2018.si/ ) CAN U BELIEVE IT???? Very proud, loads of work, but it's a great comunity of riders and friends gettin together again!!! Super excited!!!!I'll keep you posted ;)
