Italian rally drivers are super quick. Rally Il Ciocco proves it very much. It is the first station of Italian Rally Championship driven on tarmac and long around 150km.
Craig Breen was Citroen's works driver for a few seasons and he lost the job there at the end of the last season. Now he drives national championships while looking for a job in WRC.
He is doing pretty good job in Ireland but in Italy, it is the different story because their local drivers are fast enough to beat the ex works WRC guy like him. And that's cool to see that locals can do pretty the same job as some top pilot.
G.Basso was several Italian championship and this season he is driving Škoda Fabia R5. That car is really top machine. The other guys are close in the results and this proves that this season in Italy will be very hot on the rally roads, of course.
