This week starts World Rally Championship season and Monte Carlo Rallye as a first event of it. It's probably the most difficult rally of the season because of a changing surface through all the rally.
Monte Carlo Rallye is a tarmac rally but because it's in January and it's driven in French Alps you can find all kinds of weather on just one special stage.
So, you can have dry, damp or wet tarmac, lush, snow or black ice. It's really unpredictable and sometimes you need pure luck to stay on the road.
If you have ever drove a road car on this kind of condition, then you know how difficult can be just to stay on the road.
Everything is in testing. More miles behind a wheel means a lot for every driver.
