Hi, Steemers!
Rally Catalunya didn't start good for Championship leader Thierry Neuville and his Hyundai World Rally Team. He rolled his car at today's shakedown which is the short section 2km long. Half of this 2km is gravel and half is tarmac surface.
Drivers and teams use it as a final test before start of the rally itself. It's also good for fine tuning of the set-up but the times posted there mean nothing because it's uncompetitive.
Only two rallies are left before the end of the season and three drivers still has some chances of winning it - Championship leader Neuville for Hyundai, five times WRC champ Seb Ogier for M-Sport Ford and Estonian Ott Tanak for Toyota.
I would say that all three has the same chances of winning it even with the points gap between Neuville and Tanak. Tanak is very quick with the best car at the moment and he won three of the last four events.
Ogier won in Wales but his car is not on Toyota's pace. Everything is still open and possible.
Rally starts tonight with the super special stage in Barcelona. Great stuff indeed...
