Hello friends of Steemit especially the football fans and those who read my Post next, I hope you are well and that all your investments continue to grow. Today I bring you the story of a man who lived the life of a football star without having played a full game.
His name is Carlos Henrique Raposo, better known as El Kaiser, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on April 2, 1963. An ex-footballer who never scored a goal, did not make an assist or at least play the 90 minutes of a professional soccer game in 20 years of a totally false career.
His story begins around the 80's in one of Botafogo's favelas in Brazil, at the age of 23 Carlos Raposo was in a difficult family situation. Until one day he decided to become a football star, the only problem was that he didn't know how to kick a ball.
At night he was looking for someone to help him with his dream, from bar to bar he wanted to find a reliable person for his purpose, that's how he met Mauricio de Oliveira who at that time was a figure in the Botafogo football team. After a talk, he convinced him and even became his representative.
The first thing they did was to build a story to convince the fans and directors of the team. For this they looked for a photograph of Independiente de Avellaneda from Argentina, who had recently won the Copa America and the Intercontinental Cup in 1984, in this team there was a great player named Carlos Enrique and who physically resembled Carlos Henrique, the only difference was their names, which thanks to the lack of data to verify managed to deceive the Botafogo board.
This was how he managed to sign his first contract and under the nickname "El Kaiser" placed by his resemblance with the mythical German player Franz Beckenbauer in the physical obviously. The same relates that he only went to training and after a few minutes of exercise feigned an injury to his leg or one of his ankles so he asked to go to the doctor.
Thanks to a friend who was a dentist, he provided him with medical certificates, and since at that time there was no magnetic resonance to really check his injury, he could trick the technician not to play. That's how they spent their days in this club who thought they had a great player on their payroll.
The main weapon of the Kaiser to deceive was his way of being with the rest, the lack of agility with the ball compensated with his way of treating people, liked those who knew him for the first time and convinced them with false stories of his life as a player. That's how he met Renat Gaúcho, a great player in Europe and star of the Brazilian national team, who convinced him to help him enter Flamengo with one of his mythical stories.
The Kaiser was aware that his lie could be easily discovered by noticing his absence in the matches so his strategy to stay in the teams, signed only one risk contract, the shortest, which only lasted a few months, so he received a good salary without playing a single game.
Those who knew him relate that many times he came to the training sessions talking on the phone supposedly in English, pretending to have offers with European teams, this lay to be discovered by a doctor who lived in the United Kingdom and one day heard one of his conversations without sense.
Thanks to his personality he managed to deceive and convince many people, so much so that he managed to sign a contract with Puebla in Mexico and later with Patriots in the United States. Some time later he returned to Brazil this time in the Bangú, there he relates one of his most terrifying experiences according to him, since in one of the matches the president of the team demanded the presence of the player at all costs, Kaiser jumped to the field to warm up while his change became effective thinking how he could deceive this time. It was when he listened to the insults of the opposing fans against the club and the management of the team for which he played, He went to the fence to argue with the fans and for this reason he was expelled from the field. Being in the dressing rooms the president was to talk to him and before he said something, The Kaiser anticipated and explained that he had argued with the fans because they were throwing insults against the directive that treated him so well and was offended because he considered the president as a second father to him, also he was not going to last long in the team, the president was moved by the statement of the player and extended his contract for 6 months more.
Thanks to the fame he had created for Raposo he managed to go to Europe, precisely to Gezélec Ajaccio in France, where he was presented with great fanfare. In this way he continued his career with several South American teams such as Vasco da Gama, Fluminense, Palmeiras, Guaraní and América de Cali.
Until at the age of 38 he retired from football, after 20 years full of lies and eccentricities thanks to his fame as a footballer. This man says he only feels guilty for not having met the expectations of many people who believed in him, yet he does not regret anything.
Claiming that clubs have always deceived their fans, it was only fair that someone should avenge themselves by doing the same to them.
It was in this way that this man became a legend of the scam, deceiving big football clubs and their fans. He is currently a personal trainer in a gymnasium in Brazil which he also owns. Where he tells his amazing story and says he has left all that in the past.
