Mohamed Salah's impressive performance again gained recognition. The Liverpool winger was voted Best Player by the Football Journalists Association (FWA).
A total of more than 400 FWA members voted in this election. One ahead of Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne in a vote with a margin of less than 20 votes.
More than 90 percent of the vote was given to Salah and De Bruyne. Meanwhile, the third position is occupied by Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Wrong became the first African player to win this award. Wrong will receive this trophy on 10 May.
What a remarkable competition between two players who, in a relatively short period of time, have reached a world-class level. But Mo Salah is the most deserved winner. He's also the first African player to win this award and survive for a great season. "
This success complements the Professional Player of Professional Footballers Association (PFA) award which was also achieved by Egyptian international winger some time ago.
