Yes I know what your thinking this is a spoof post, well you will be wrong!
You did read the title correctly, Bulgaria the poorest country in the whole of Europe, will be building a FIA approved racing track near the coastal town of Burgas.
The Bulgaria Ring will be used for automobile and cart racing, as well as a safe venue for the local street racers to perform.
Not only will this keep the streets of Burgas safer from the street racers, but it will also generate a substantial number of jobs.
Also from a selfish point of view, I will be able to visit a Formula 1 Grand Prix, for just a few hours drive, not to mention the fact that the cost of hotels, food, etc are exceedingly cheap.
Yeah right you are probably thinking, a Formula 1 weekend that won't break the bank, well with this exciting news it is definitely a possibility, so keep watching this space, and I will update you with the latest news, as soon as I hear it.
But I for one, am as excited as hell at the prospect of watching the teams compete in little ole Bulgaria.
