Across The Atlantic Ocean!
Yesterday we were strolling through Nelson's Dockyard (Horatio Nelson), and we came across two row boats that had very recently arrived in Antigua from the Canary Islands.
They rowed a distance of approximately 4700 kilometers.
They did this amazing feat as part of a competition. We heard the Canon sound of the night before (announcing there arrival).
Here is a boat from an earlier competition.
I have great deal of respect for these competitors, that is one tough challenge.
This year a record was set at 30 days.
There are still boats out there...rowing in the mighty Atlantic.
