Week 3 of the AAF Football League brings it’s very first rematch in league history. In week one, the Hotshots completely destroyed the Salt Lake Stallions but, the Stallions were missing their first string quarterback due to injury. Stallions quarterback Josh Woodrum is preparing for his first start of the year against the 2-0 Hotshots.
The first matchup saw Arizona’s QB Wolford throw for multiple touchdowns and the defense was very stout and allowed only a few big plays. Last week Wolford threw interceptions on his first two drives and got his team in a deep hole late into the third qtr against Memphis. This week he will have to play much better if the Hotshots are to continue undefeated because Stallion QB Woodrum offers a bigger arm and more big game experience as compared to the backup who was under a lot of pressure all game long.
The real strength in Arizona’s defense is clearly the inside linebackers and Safty Raheem Moore who is an ex Denver Bronco. I have been impressed with Arizona’s linebacker play overall but still believe the best player on the team in my opinion is Wide Reciever Rashad Ross. Ross has come up with numerous big plays in the first two games and the Hotshots will certainly need another big game out of him to stay at the top of the AAF league standings.
The Hotshots are favored by 4.5 points in this game and with efficient QB play out of Wolford they should easily cover this spread.
