With the lower leg fracture suffered by Broncos Pro Bowl CB Chris Harris, management had to hit the free agent market to fill a roster spot. Former Boise State Broncos CB Jamar Taylor was once a very promising NFL Prospect. He has been bounced around the league to three different teams including Miami, Cleavland and most recently Arizona. It’s hard to stay on an NFL roster if your a marginal player, which in my opinion is exactly what Jamar Taylor is.
He played in 10 games last year and a few years back in 2015 he was largely talked about in the press for being on of the most improved defensive backs in the league.
To me Taylor is nothing more than a warm body at a depleted position in Denver’s secondary. With Harris now out for the rest of the year, I figure Roby will now take the #1 CB role and that’s scary enough in itself. Youngsters Yiadom and Langley are not ready for every down play in the NFL so signing Taylor for depth on our defense only made sense. Go Broncos.
When your short career in the NFL already spans three franchises who have all been notoriously terrible doesn’t bode well for the type of talent Denver got with Taylor. At this point we are so injured at the position, the bottom of the barrel had to be scrapped just to come up with something
