Whether you're sharp money or square money, we all can rejoice now.
No longer do we have to create an online sportsbook account, travel to Las Vegas, or cross the border into Mexico to place a wager. Just a few days ago the supreme court ruled against the PASPA (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection act), declaring that it was unconstitutional, giving the green light for all 50 states to legalize sports betting.
Crossing the border after a while gets irritating. There's no way on gods green earth am I flying or driving to Vegas everytime I want to place a wager, and those online accounts can get a little tricky. As of a couple of days ago, New Jersey is the next state in line to be up and running legally. Now it's up to each individual state to determine if they want to introduce legislation. Then if and when a particular state introduces legislation, how quick can they pass legislation will dictate how fast a state could be up and running to accept legal bets.
I really hope the state of California decides to introduce legilastion, and rather quickly too. It's so many winners from this law being struck down by congress. WAY TO GO SUITS.
