After losing the NXT belt last week, and Adam Cole stepping in as the new fued for McIntyre, it seemed pretty likely that Roode would be promoted this week. While I'm a regular watcher of Raw and was hoping to see him on Monday nights, he showed up last night to interrupt Aiden English singing to the crowd.
As expected, it was GLORIOUS.
I'm a big fan of Roode. He has great experience, a Ric Flair- like presence, and a spectacular intro. I think he should immediately be a top player for the Smackdown brand.
I like him better as a heel, but it looks like he is going to be introduced as a face due to the fan popularity. When he ultimately goes heel, it will be awesome! With that said, a few heels he can potentially fued with:
- Baron Corbin - already in the dog house and can be used to get Roode over fast
- AJ Styles - this would be awesome. It looks like KO fued might be finishing up as he moves over to fight Shane
- Rusev - this would be lame
- Jinder Mahal - could they give Bobby the belt after he defeats Shinsuke? Or could Bobby challenge Shinsuke after he defeats Jinder?
