I think the biggest take away for me from the Super Bowl thus far is that CBS is really really trying to push their CBS All Access with their Star Trek programming. Very interesting with the cost of advertising slots during the Super Bowl that they opted not to sell some spots so they could pimp their paid programming.
They seem primarily intent on selling us the new Spock Centric Second season of Star Trek Discovery. I'm not sure if the fans of the Super Bowl are exactly the target demographic for that kind of show. I like Science Fiction quite a bit, but I am not going to be paying for CBS All Access to see that show. I pay enough for cable as it is.
But good luck to them with all this extra advertising they are doing for it.
