Golden greetings and silver salutations! I recently wrote about trying to figure out what to do with all the old sports cards at my mom's house. So you'd think a guy like me wouldn't keep adding to that problem. Nope! While I think silver is cheap, I also have that same childhood valuation of baseball cards.
On a rare occasion, I'll stumble into the autographed cards section on E-Bay. I think of how expensive cards were when I was a kid, then I look at the prices now. They seem so darn cheap! Then sometimes, you see the dealers where if you win one auction, the shipping on the next auction is free or a quarter or 50 cents. Those are my downfall. I'll be eyeing one card and I'll think how cheap these 9 will be if I buy 1. It's horribly flawed logic, I know. So what did I stumble into?
I don't think I paid more than $5 for any of these, and the cheapest were a buck...
So if they are hard to read, they are Carlos Rodan, Ron Guidry, Sonny Grey, Tom Dempsey, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Lockett, a Corey Coleman / Will Fuller combo, and Michael Turner.
Childhood Mike went crazy! Seriously, let's just talk about my favorite of the lot.
How was this card under $5? It blows my mind! Both of these guys have star potential!
So, to recap, I don't know what I am doing. I am complaining about having so many almost worthless cards from the 80s / 90s yet I am still occasionally buying more cards.
Oh, well, I hope the kid in me never dies. My silver is for the adult in me, but cards are for the kid in me.
Have a great night Steem world!
