Realistically, I expected this. Russia had a great team coming into the tournament, while USA did have a stronger team than normal, it wasn't enough to even get into the bronze medal game, which they won last year with an (in my opinion) a much weaker team. With this loss, Team USA is now out of the tournament with Russia advancing. Jack Hughes had his first good game in the tournament (sadly his last this year) by netting 2 assists. After that, Team USA did score a goal with an empty net, but they couldn't do it again.
