Women's empowerment in the sports universe is becoming more and more present, but we need to move forward in stimulating women's participation. An example of this is the last two Olympic games - Rio 2016 and London 2012 - in which half of the athletes were already female. In the period of Ancient Greece, women were strictly forbidden to participate in the Olympics, even forbidden to attend games, while only men were crowned. Today, thanks to names like Stamati Revithi, Alice Melliat, Maria Lenk and many others, we are moving towards equity.
