Hi, Steemers!
Citroen World Rally Team doesn't have results this season. One win in Mexico is not enough for team of their caliber. Just to remind you who scored that win: it was Kris Meeke.
But he has problems of his own: he's crashing too much. Every rally he is off the road.
Now they have new hope: Andreas Mikkelsen who didn't have great rally in Sardinia but at least he scored some points for himself and his team.
Lefebvre is also crashing too much. I understand their attitude to win the rallies but is it enough?! No, it isn't.
Lefebvre is second from the right, left one is Moreau, his co-driver
Team is paying them to finish rallies and score valuable points.
Probably the most consistent driver of the season is Craig Breen who finishes rallies regularly with some offs here and there. But he's usually 5th in the Top 10 and that counts.
In Poland we won't see Meeke and instead of him it will be Mikkelsen. Two others will be Breen and Lefebvre.
Mikkelsen is probably their last chance to correct the results.
What about Rally Poland? It's a high speed gravel event, something similar to Rally Finland. Top average speeds are usually higher then 120 km/h and smallest mistake may end with bad accident.
Also spectators stand to close to the rally road and that's very risky. To remind you: in Monte Carlo one Spanish photographer got killed of a rally car.
Next two rallies will be crucial for Citroen. They desperately need results and wins.
Let the best win!
Breen
Mikkelsen
